The Opportunity

 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data & Technology Specialist to support our data operations and technology initiatives. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with a passion for data, technology, and problem-solving, along with an interest in the financial markets. The successful candidate will assist in data collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting, while also supporting basic technical tasks across systems and platforms.

 

This role is located in Rutherford, NJ and you will be expected to go into the office 1 day per week

 

 What you’ll do:

  • Assist in gathering, cleaning, and validating data from various sources.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborate with teams to understand data needs and deliver insights.
  • Perform basic data analysis to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Help maintain data integrity and ensure consistent data standards.
  • Support technical troubleshooting and documentation of systems.
  • Assist in automating routine data tasks using scripts or tools.
  • Participate in testing and implementation of new data tools or platforms.

 

 

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic understanding of coding, databases, spreadsheets, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with Excel, SQL, Python, C#/.NET, or other data-related tools is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

 

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of data privacy and security principles.
  • General knowledge of financial markets
