The Opportunity: 

The individual in this position is responsible for providing a wide range of support to the ACA Group Legal Department, focusing on the client contracting function. The individual in this position is also responsible for preserving ACA’s reputation for integrity and providing timely, pragmatic legal and business solutions that support ACA in an effective and compliant manner. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Oversee and mentor a team responsible for the client contracting process 

  • Define, refine, and continuously improve the client contracting function 

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts to support ACA business functions, including client and non-disclosure agreements, as well as vendor, licensing, and other commercial contracts 

  • Maintain templates and forms as ACA’s business and service offerings evolve over time 

  • Partner closely with commercial, finance, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure business alignment 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess contract risks, propose alternatives, and support business objectives 

  • Evaluate current processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency 

  • Provide legal advice and support on a variety of day-to-day matters 

  • Research unique legal issues impacting ACA and offer appropriate, business-oriented solutions 

  • Draft, review, maintain, and update ACA’s internal policies and assist with ensuring compliance 

  • Supervise, train, evaluate, oversee, and provide feedback to junior colleagues 

  • Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client and internal initiatives 


To qualify for the role, you must have:
 

 

  • Juris doctor degree required, licensed in at least one jurisdiction 

  • Three years’ prior experience in a law firm setting or in-house 

  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating professional services contracts and/or SaaS agreements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet  


Ideally, you’ll also have:
 

  • Experience in a combination of corporate, securities, transactional and/or investment management matters preferred 

  • Experience collaborating with sales or commercial team 

  • Supervisory experience
