The Opportunity

ACA is seeking a Full Stack / Platform Engineer (Python, React, AWS) to help build and enhance our Research Compliance Solutions platform, a cloud-native SaaS solution that combines AI-powered technology with expert human oversight to simplify and strengthen compliance in investment research.

This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable backend services, modern user interfaces, cloud infrastructure, and automation frameworks that power real-time call screening, transcript analysis, search capabilities, and compliance workflows.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications and is comfortable working across the full technology stack. This individual will play a key role in shaping technical solutions, influencing platform architecture, and driving innovation across ACA's Research Compliance Solutions platform.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services supporting AI-powered compliance workflows, transcription, search, analytics, and user-facing applications
• Build and enhance modern web applications using React and TypeScript
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices architecture supporting platform integrations and data pipelines
• Build, deploy, and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code practices, including AWS CDK
• Partner with Product, Compliance, Data Science, and Engineering teams to deliver innovative platform capabilities
• Design and optimize data storage solutions using PostgreSQL and related technologies
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient software delivery
• Contribute to automated testing and quality engineering practices using technologies such as Selenium, Playwright, and TypeScript-based automation frameworks
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive platform scalability, reliability, and performance improvements
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the future direction of the Research Compliance Solutions platform
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and help drive architecture and design decisions across the platform

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• Strong professional experience developing applications with Python
• Experience building modern web applications using React and TypeScript
• Experience developing and supporting microservices-based architectures
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application development
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS cloud environments
• Experience working with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms
• Strong knowledge of API design and development
• Experience working with relational databases, including PostgreSQL
• Experience designing scalable software solutions, APIs, and distributed systems in a cloud-native environment
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working within Agile software development environments
