The Opportunity 

ACA believes that we can deliver the world’s best GRC software to our blue-chip financial services client base of over 3500 firms. We are seeking top talent to join us in our journey to build and deliver “The SalesForce of Compliance”.  Compliance Officers in finance have been stuck in the past, with inefficient, manual effort driving their compliance programs. ACA’s ComplianceAlpha is deployed at 800+ clients and more daily to help modernize that. We are investing significantly to drive technology usage at our clients. 

This Senior Product Engineer role is responsible for the development of core module(s) within ComplianceAlpha. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and clean code across the product. As a full stack engineer you will be tasked with working on tickets with varying levels of UI and API work, working with technical leads to ensure proper architecture, and growing your cloud native dev skills. The Core Modules Team is responsible for building, maintaining, and delivering the corner stones of ComplianceAlpha.  

 

 

  • Highly desired locations: New York City, Pittsburgh, Chattanooga, Boston, Chicago, Florida (Boca Raton, Miami), San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston and Raleigh/Durham.
  • Note: This role will likely move to a hybrid role in the future.

 

Your key responsibilities 

  • Bring a creative mindset to work to anticipate and solve tough problems as part of a team. 
  • Conceptualize complex tasks into smaller chunks of clean, flexible, and performant code.  
  • Work with senior team members to understand technical and functional requirements  
  • Work with a global team of developers, owning key parts of initiatives and deliver on predefined timelines 
  • Evaluate and build proof-of-concepts with emerging cloud-native technologies to be used at enterprise scale  

 

Skills and attributes for success 

  • Strong understanding of modern web architecture, including containerization 
  • Motivated to deliver the best possible software solutions in a fast-paced collaborative environment 
  • Ability to work independently on small tasks, and collaboratively on larger team tasks  
  • Proactively lean and experiment with new technologies and concepts in modern web development  
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience with various development methodologies, including TDD and DevOps 

 

To qualify for the role you must have 

  • At least five to eight years of professional / enterprise web development  
  • Deep understanding of C#, REST or GraphQL APIs and object oriented principles  
  • Working experience with a modern UI framework, Angular 2+ or React, with Typescript 
  • Understanding of gitflow and its coupling with a clean SDLC / delivery model  
  • Hands on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases including general architecture  
  • Working knowledge on debugging microservice cloud based architecture 
  • Knowledge on defining and mitigating project risks and understanding impact to delivery 

 

Ideally, you’ll also have 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM 
  • Knowledge of cloud development and architecture 
  • Familiarity with AWS, GCP or Azure, AWS preferred 
  • Experience with unit testing and SOLID principles   
  • Working knowledge on implementing UI components with 3rd party libraries
