As a Strategic Account Executive, you will serve as the main point of commercial contact for a group of existing accounts in the Strategic account segment, with the primary responsibility of driving their sustainable growth. ACA’s Strategic account segment consists of its largest, most sophisticated clients. The Strategic Account Executive is a key ACA client-facing representative, with a sales-focused role responsible for both contract value retention as well as growth through contract expansion via the introduction of new products and services. A successful candidate will navigate internally on behalf of clients to bring forward clarity and value. You will have many primary contacts on engagements from the advisory, tech and service team, coordinating across ACA on behalf of your clients. You will facilitate consistent Client Business Review/Health Check meetings and coordinate and support all sales opportunities for your accounts. The Strategic Account Executive will work with Client Success Managers, Sales Specialists, and other internal Sales & Support roles, manage the coordination of key communications to and from clients, and act as the main point of contact for their assigned clients.
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with Client Success Managers to manage and retain strategic client relationships and build client loyalty.
- Develop and maintain understanding of the client’s overall business, future plans, and potential needs.
- Maintain ongoing understanding of client’s various engagements across ACA.
- Initiate frequent touches with clients to prove value and support increased loyalty.
- Proactively ensures client satisfaction through regular communication, scheduled touchpoints, and relationship milestones.
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the entire ACA product suite and coordinates communication among the various business partners.
- Partner with BU Sales Specialists on cross-sell and upsell activities to support growth of client relationships.
To Qualify for the role, you will have:
- Strong academic background (i.e. degree level or recognised professional qualification or equivalent)
- 10+ years of consulting, customer support, relationship management/account executive, or sales experience
- Strong working knowledge of the Financial Markets / Financial Services industry
Skills and attributes for success:
- Client presentation experience to manage escalations, projects and support cross/upsell would be preferred.
- Understanding of the financial services industry (desired).
- Prior experience with SaaS (Software as a Service) and enterprise software (desirable).
- Prior experience with professional services (desirable).
- Demonstrated professional integrity.
- Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new ACA initiatives and changing client needs.
- Ability to exercise discretion and make independent judgments on matters of significance.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritise effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
