The Opportunity: 


The individual in this position is responsible for providing a wide range of support to the ACA Group Legal Department as well as advising other departments on a broad range of legal matters. The individual in this position is also responsible for preserving ACA’s reputation for integrity and providing timely, pragmatic legal and business solutions that support ACA in an effective and compliant manner.
 

What you’ll do: 

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel as needed to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant responses 

  • Lead and manage all litigation matters, including strategy development, case management, and working with outside counsel 

  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders regarding litigation exposure, risks, and recommended actions 

  • Advise business units on legal risks and provide practical solutions aligned with business needs 

  • Oversee the efficient and effective drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of a variety of commercial contracts and legal documents 

  • Provide immediate and direct legal support to all of ACA on a variety of day-to-day business matters, including employment, privacy, and international matters 

  • Assist with the management of ACA’s corporate governance matters 

  • Oversee the drafting, review, and updating of and compliance with internal ACA policies 

  • Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client and internal initiatives 

  • Oversight, management, and monitoring of confidentiality and privacy-related matters 

 

To qualify for the role, you must have: 
 

  • Juris doctor degree required, licensed in at least one jurisdiction 

  • Ten years’ prior experience, including both a law firm setting and in-house 

  • Strong litigation background

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet  


Ideally, you’ll also have:
 

  • Experience in a combination of corporate, securities, transactional and/or investment management matters preferred 

  • FINRA experience or familiarity strongly preferred 

  • Proven ability to support diverse legal needs

Salary Range: $165K - 250K Base
