The Opportunity
The Compliance Analyst supports day-to-day AML/KYC and compliance operations across investor onboarding, customer due diligence, and screening activities. This role is responsible for conducting reviews, analyzing documentation, investigating alerts, and maintaining accurate compliance records while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and service level agreements (SLAs).
The Compliance Analyst executes established procedures, identifies documentation gaps or risk indicators, escalates complex matters when appropriate, and contributes to high-quality, timely compliance operations. This is a production-oriented role that offers the opportunity to build expertise in AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and investor due diligence.
What you'll do:

Perform investor and customer onboarding reviews, including document collection, validation, and verification.

Conduct AML/KYC due diligence activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Review and disposition sanctions, politically exposed person (PEP), and adverse media screening alerts.

Verify entity information, ownership structures, and supporting documentation.

Identify documentation deficiencies and follow up for required information.

Document findings, decisions, and supporting rationale with clear and accurate case notes.

Escalate higher-risk, unusual, or complex issues in accordance with established guidelines.

Support lifecycle reviews, periodic monitoring activities, and remediation efforts.

Maintain complete, accurate, and organized case files.

Meet productivity, quality, turnaround time, and SLA expectations.

Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to resolve cases and improve processes.
To qualify for the role, you will have:

1-3 years of AML, KYC, compliance, financial crimes, or financial services experience.

Experience conducting due diligence, onboarding reviews, screening investigations, or related compliance activities.

Familiarity with sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening processes.

Experience reviewing and analyzing business or customer documentation.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven, SLA-focused environment.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with screening platforms such as World-Check, LexisNexis, Moody's, or similar tools preferred.
Ideally, you'll also have:

Bachelor's degree or concentration in compliance, criminal justice, law, business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.

Knowledge of AML, KYC, sanctions, and customer due diligence concepts.

Familiarity with institutional investor documentation, entity structures, or financial services operations.
