The Opportunity:

The individual in this position will work closely with domestic mutual funds, collective trusts, and foreign funds such as SICAVs and UCITS in applying for, obtaining, and maintaining an NSCC participant number, which allows fund shares to be processed through the FundSERV network. The individual is also expected to provide guidance and assistance reasonably requested by a fund client and its transfer agent with respect to the administration, implementation, and maintenance of the fund’s operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with National Securities Clearing Corporation ("NSCC") rules and guidelines or any other NSCC related issues. The Consultant (NSCC) will also have a solid understanding of general mutual fund operations, clearing and settlement processes and regulatory requirements.

 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Establish new and transfer existing NSCC participant numbers
  • Establish Alternative Investment Product (AIP) sub accounts
  • Add, remove and terminate NSCC services on behalf of fund participant
  • Assist with population and/or conduct quality control review of information entered into Mutual Fund Profile II system
  • Facilitate CUSIP additions and deletions for fund family clients
  • Distribute daily price and rate files to applicable clients
  • Assist with obtaining daily net settlement confirmations with respect to NSCC participant clients as needed
  • Serve as main point of contact/liaison with Depository Trust & Clearing Company (DTCC)
  • Consult with domestic and offshore clients on NSCC sponsorship, process and best practices
  • Manage client relationships with respect to applicable projects and services, as well as engage with other ACA account owners and relationship managers to ensure excellent clientservice
  • Oversee client relationships, including onboarding new clients, setting scope and workflow
  • expectations, answering questions, and ensuring client expectations and contractual obligation are met

 

 

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in securities or securities markets, investment operations and clientservices. Transfer agency or clearing and settlement experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
