The Opportunity:

 

The overall responsibility of this technical writer will be to deliver well-written end-user and internal documentation for ComplianceAlpha.

By direction of the RegTech Strategy and Advocacy Team, this role will work with various subject matter experts to understand how ComplianceAlpha works, then develop and maintain client-facing and internal content such as user documentation, training materials, and other materials as assigned. The role will report to the lead technical writer.

 

 

  • Office Locations: NYC (office is near Grand Central), Pittsburgh, Medford, Oregon, Chattanooga, Portland, Maine and Boston
  • Must be able to go into one of these offices 2 days/week (Hybrid)

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Work with ComplianceAlpha product teams to understand the various tools and products; assist in the development and maintenance of client-facing user documents (e.g., user documentation, training materials, internal guides, etc.)
  • Help review, reorganize, and update existing documentation
  • Provide ad hoc support in drafting content to be used for marketing and training purposes, for the ACA website, and to satisfy other internal requests

 

 

Required Education and Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, English, journalism, or other writing-centric program
  • 3-5 years related writing experience with a focus on technology
  • SaaS product experience
  • Familiarity with software/platforms such as MadCap Flare, Zendesk Guide, or Userpilot

 

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Flexible and able to juggle multiple documentation requests at once. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand technical subject matter and produce written content that can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Dependable, disciplined, and self-motivated enough to work remotely without on-site supervision.
  • Well-organized and able to work as part of a fast-paced team to meet demanding timelines.
