Position Summary:

The Senior Salesforce Engineer's role involves the creation of tailored solutions, extensions, workflows, and integrations, all while adhering to Salesforce's best practices for software engineering. This role requires comprehensive involvement in all stages of software development, utilizing agile methodologies, object-oriented design, and robust design patterns. The Senior Salesforce Engineer will also provide mentoring to other team members, aiding in the timely identification and resolution of application issues that affect workforce productivity. Additionally, this role involves collaboration with administrative staff, business analysts, and business leaders to identify, define, analyze, and implement changes and enhancements. These must offer high scalability, performance, and availability (24x7) within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

 

Job Duties:
 

  1. Included in the solution design, development, customization and Responsible for end-user support of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Certinia ERP Cloud and other installed packages 

  1. Responsible for developing new enhancements, including creation of custom objects, workflows, validation rules, approval processes, flows, flow triggers and email alerts 

  1. Responsible for integration of applications with Salesforce, either directly using connectors or indirectly through APIs 

  1. Collaborate with IT Support in the diagnosis and resolution of issues impacting employee productivity and business throughput. 

  1. Collaborate with IT Business Analysts and Stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and propose solutions that leverage Salesforce functionality 

  1. Translate approved solutions into actionable deliverables, ensuring high levels of quality, accuracy, process consistency, and performance 

  1. Collaborate with Business Operations, Information Technology and other business stakeholders to drive high levels of data integrity and operational reliability 

  1. Provide guidance and/or mentoring on solution requirements, technical design, integration architecture, and solution recommendations 

  1. Ensure that all necessary changes are documented, reviewed, tested, and approved before being deployed 

  1. Occasionally provide after-hours deployment and support

 

Required Education and Experience:

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or Equivalent work experience 

  1. Overall 7+ years in Information Technology; minimum of 5 years of experience implementing and supporting technically complex solutions in Salesforce.

  1. Handson supporting, maintaining and enhancing Salesforce CPQ, Certinia ERP Cloud.

  1. Good knowledge of Salesforce and its ecosystems, including the declarative and programmatic development models, the agile and scrum methodologies, and the cloud infrastructure and services.

  1. Solid understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices. 

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions. 

  1. Customer-oriented and results-driven mindset, as well as the ability to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions.

  1. Strong hands-on proficiency with design and development in Sales and Service Cloud, Apex, Process Builders, Visualforce, Lighting, SOQL, Profiles/Roles and Sharing Rules, Flow, Workflow rules, Triggers, Change Data Capture, Object Relationship, and/or Platform Events 

  1. Proficient in working with Community Portal, Process Builders, Flows, Omni Channels, Apex Scheduling and Batch Processes. 

  1. Solution Design and Development lead role experience is a must.
