Job Description:

 

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building, configuring, and managing Microsoft SQL Server databases. This role requires a deep understanding of third-party and custom applications backed by SQL, as well as the ability to write and perform complex queries, data analysis, cleanup, and optimizations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, configure, and manage SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
  • Perform and automate regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and integrity checks etc…
  • Develop and implement database monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schemas, indexes, and stored procedures.
  • Conduct data analysis and cleanup to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Work with third-party and custom applications to integrate and manage SQL databases.
  • Perform database tuning and optimization to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Upgrade, migrate, and manage the lifecycle of database servers.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • We are looking for 7+ yrs of an experience as a Database SQL Administrator.
  • Proven experience in building, configuring, and managing Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with complex query writing and optimization.
  • Experience with third-party and custom applications backed by SQL.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, cleanup, and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with database monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Certification in Microsoft SQL Server or related technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database).
  • Knowledge of other database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining custom applications using C#, PowerShell, PowerApps, or other technologies, with a strong foundation in SQL, is highly desirable.
