Position Summary:
The Senior Principal Consultant, in the Privacy Center of Expertise, is responsible for leading successful client engagements and providing ongoing client support services aimed at helping our clients navigate the complex and rapidly evolving landscape of data privacy regulations and consumer expectations. This is a great opportunity to leverage your privacy and consulting expertise to establish trusted advisor relationships with our clients by advising, designing, building and operating effective and sustainable solutions to our client’s privacy compliance and data risk initiatives.
Job Duties:
1. Design and implement privacy programs for our clients
2. Conduct deal diligence, readiness assessments, and client privacy trainings
3. Lead client calls that include, but are not limited to, engagement planning, stakeholder interviews, findings discussions and presentations, and management of client expectations throughout the engagement lifecycle
4. Compile written deliverables including reports, policies, and risk program guidelines and present those deliverables to a range of client stakeholders
5. Work with clients to identify challenges, risks, problems and opportunities
6. Support the ACA Sales team when selling Privacy products and services
7. Mentor, train, evaluate, and provide feedback to junior colleagues. Potentially formally manage and oversee junior staff at some point in the future
8. Participate in ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support the business on various client service and product development initiatives
9. Contribute to privacy thought leadership by writing blog posts and articles, participating in webinars and presenting at conferences
Required Education and Experience
1. Five (5) to ten (10) years of consulting experience in privacy and data protection.
2. In-depth understanding of global privacy regulations and industry frameworks including GDPR and CCPA (familiarity with UAE, Dubai, Singapore, Australia, India, TSCs, etc. preferred). Ability to quickly learn and advise on new privacy regulations.
3. Track record of supporting and/or leading the development of client privacy programs 4. CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, ISACA Privacy Engineering certification (at least one required)
Preferred Education and Experience:
1. Graduate degree or post graduate work in one of the following areas – law, cybersecurity, privacy engineering, information management, computer science
2. Experience evaluating use of AI and LLMs for privacy implications
3. Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to communicate with different stakeholders (e.g., IT, HR, Legal) and experience developing privacy training
