The Opportunity:

The ESG Analytics Lead role is to bring great Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data and analytics products to the market. This role is a leader on a team of sustainability professionals that provide data, analytics, and advisory services. The ESG Analytics Lead is responsible for managing ESG data processes and quality, helping lead the Ethos product. Ethos offers ESG data and analytics products for public and private market financial professionals through a software platform and data delivery channels. The ESG Analytics Lead is responsible for leading ESG data, ratings, and analysis methodologies, including making periodic adjustments and managing implementation of changes (for example, defining inputs for a new rating topic, working with the data and dev teams to build and test new ratings, rolling out to customers with an announcement).

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design of new ESG data/analytics products that meet client needs (e.g., physical climate risk analysis or a carbon foot printing tool on the Ethos platform). Own the implementation roadmap, working with the data, development, product, commercial, and other teams to ensure products meet client needs and are delivered successfully.
  • Manage data sourcing, including adding new sources, removing stale sources, integrating sources into products, and offering third-party sources on the Ethos ESG Marketplace.
  • Build partnerships with data vendors, go-to-market channel partners, and other third parties to advance the ESG data/analytics business model.
  • Work with the data and development teams to design and implement improvements to the team’s data management processes, such as ingestion, quality control checks, and data delivery tools.
  • Provide oversight and input to the data quality team. This role will not involve direct data quality work, but the position will collaborate with the data quality team to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Manage expansion of the Ethos ESG database, including requests from clients to add coverage of companies, funds, and other securities. Work with the data team to build and improve efficiency of data addition processes. Be willing to dive into data tables and processes as needed.
  • Participate in client calls as an ESG data and analytics expert. Build trusted relationships with clients and work with the client success team to respond to client requests and questions as needed.
  • Participate in developing thought leadership content related to ESG data and analytics.

  • Experience and comfort in client-facing roles.
  • Experience working across multiple teams to coordinate or lead projects.

Skills and Attributes for Success:
